Discipline Gets Quieter With Age

The discipline that preserves you is usually less glamorous than the discipline that proves you.

When I was young, discipline looked dramatic. Big workouts, strict routines, pushing hard. As I got older, discipline became quieter. Sleeping enough. Warming up. Stopping before injury. Boring discipline lasts longer.
