Don't Make the Kid Carry the Message
Co-parenting requires keeping adult discomfort off the child's shoulders.
After my divorce, I sometimes let my daughter be the messenger because I didn't want to talk to her mother. That was cowardly. Kids should not have to carry adult tension in their backpack.
